How the solver works
  • Prices are the live FUTBIN PlayStation prices from the latest database (the same ones the other pages use). A card at its lowest legal price can sell out, so the very cheapest picks can take a few tries to buy.
  • Streamlined SBCs (item score): every card's item score comes from the database (base score by rating, more for TOTW and other specials, ICONs and holographic versions). The solver groups the cards by score, keeps the cheapest card in each group and works out, for every number of cards, the cheapest mix that reaches the target. Every card count from the fewest that can do it up to the cheapest overall is worked out, listed from the fewest cards to the cheapest; Saves is how much each one saves against the most expensive (marked Reference). Must use players are always included (their item score counts and their price is added); Never use leaves out a player (every version of them) or everyone from a club, league or nation. The classic solver uses the same two lists.
  • Classic SBCs: the solver searches thousands of squads (simulated annealing followed by a clean-up pass that tries every cheaper swap), scoring each by its price plus a heavy penalty for every requirement it misses. Each new solution is pushed to use different players from the ones before, so you get genuinely different options. It is a search, not a proof: "Thorough" looks harder and occasionally finds a cheaper squad.
  • Team rating uses EA's formula: the average of the 11, plus every player's amount above that average added again, rounded, then rounded down.
  • Chemistry follows FC27's rules: club 2/4/7, nation 2/5/8, league 3/5/8 players for +1/+2/+3, a player only counts in one of their own positions, ICONs and Heroes always 3. The full rules are on the Squad builder page.
  • Rare: the database does not say which Gold cards are rare, so "Rare players" requirements are shown but can't be checked - swap in rares yourself where the game needs them.
